34 weeks.. Dear Luke

...Dear Luke
I cant wait to meet you. I dream about what you will look like, what color your eyes will be and your hair. Will you be a big boy or average.. I pray you are not too big like your daddy.
Lately you have been causing me to be short of breath by just the act of talking. You have also made me a very tired girl by the end of the day with very swollen ankles. And you must love chocolate and everything sweet for that matter because you keep telling me to eat it and lots of it.
It is all worth every second- I have not hated pregnancy in fact there are days .. and many of them.. that I feel so beautiful! I love just looking down at my tummy and feeling your kicks.
I will miss you in my tummy but cant wait to hold you, rock you, feed you and just stare at you in wonderment.
Your Daddy is very excited to meet you as well and already is planning sporting games he will take you to, games he will play with you in the yard and he was sure to tell Charger that the new bat and ball you got at your shower is off limits. He even bought you your first Padre jersey in anticipation of your first ball game he will take you to.
You are entering a world where a lot of people love you without even meeting you yet. We have play dates arranged and lots of friends for you to meet.
5 more weeks little one and you will be here.. that is if you are on time which is quite a mystery that everyone seems to have an opinion on by just looking at your position in my tummy. I think we are half and half on the votes. Many think you are coming early in the next few weeks. I personaly know you are not quite ready yet and will hold out till your due date as planned. But you may surprise me because I'm sure you will teach me once you come that nothing will go as "planned" and I might as well throw all plans out the window... Your Dad will be happy about that one.
So as we come down to this last month I have to say I love you already and can't wait to meet you!!

33 Weeks Oh Baby

33 Weeks Oh Baby!!

At 33 weeks we decided to celebrate Rich's and Nicole's Wedding with a weekend of fun, sun and friends in Lake Tahoe.
It was so great to have a weekend away ... a much needed pseudo-vacation.
I was able to take some time off work and we left Thursday through Sunday to spend some time in the sun with great friends.
Rich and Nicole make a great couple

and their wedding was nothing but amazing with beautiful Lake Tahoe in the backround
Here are a few pictures from the weekend.

I made it back safe and sound to San Diego and feel like we are really gearing up for the baby. We start our birthing classes this month and I am considering all the things I need to pack for the hospital and knowing me will begin packing my back this week.
Pregnancy has flown by I can't believe there are only 6 weeks left.
It is the most amazing experience ever and I am so thankful I have felt so good (after the 3 month mark that is). Hopefully being a mom will feel so easy!

32 Weeks.. Baby Shower

32 Weeks Baby Shower

Well I am officially the wost blogger. Between working full time, being pregnant and well being pregnant I have been a bit busy.

A lot has happened since 28 weeks.
My parents made it out here with their boat and just in time to help me celebrate at my baby shower.
It was a fun weekend with great friends making the whole baby thing seem so real!!
My two great girls Laura and Erica did an awesome job throwing a fantastic party to celebrate Lukes arrival. I had so much fun I didn't even get to take many pictures. But here are a few we did manage to snap.
I received two amazing diaper cakes and now feel like I am set with diapers.. he he. I have heard I will probably go through these the first month. I'm ready for it though bring it on!
After all the fun at the baby shower the weekend came to an end. My parents made it back to Iowa with an expected return date sometime in August before Lukes arrival.
I was able to spend some time at home unpacking all the gifts, washing all the clothes and pretending I am ready and organized for little Luke. I have taken a few more pictures of his room to show off.
